Cleveland Food Bank Volunteer Session

Program: Tour and Volunteer Session at Cleveland Food Bank

Let’s begin the year by giving back to Cleveland’s leader in the efforts against food insecurity, the Cleveland Food Bank. We will start the evening at 5:30 with a tour from Dames friend, Lisa Sands. Please plan to arrive at about 5:20 so we can begin the tour on time. We will then move into the Repacking area where donations are processed and we will work from 6-8pm.

This event is open to Dames, friends, spouses, and children over 14, so please consider making it a family evening!

To register please follow these instructions provided by Cleveland Food Bank:
  1. Visit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank event registration page: https://cerv.is/0136gndtQWq
  2. Click on the "Register" button at the bottom of the page.
  3. Follow the on screen instructions to access the CERVIS registration system. If this is your first time using the CERVIS online registration system, you will be prompted to create a Volunteer Profile.
  4. Once you have successfully logged into the system (or created a profile, if needed) you will automatically be registered for this event and receive a confirmation E-mail.
  5. If you would like to register additional individuals for this event, please select their name from the list and enter the code below into the "Private Registration Code" field. Next, click the "Register for selected event" button to complete the additional registration.

Join us at the Rainey Institute on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 12–4 pm for a chance to snag gently-used kitchen gear at unbeatable prices. From mixing bowls to chef quality gadgets, you’re sure to find some must-have treasures for your kitchen!

HAVE ITEMS TO DONATE? The Cleveland Dames' 3rd Annual Culinary Treasures Sale is almost here, and we need your help!

Take a look through your kitchen—do you have gently used cookware, gadgets, bakeware, or cookbooks you no longer need? Donate them! Your contributions will be sold to benefit our Chapter's philanthropic efforts, scholarships and grants supporting local culinary and farming communities.

Every item makes a difference. Now accepting donations at the Rainey Institute's Hough Campus (1705 East 55th, Cleveland, Ohio 44103). Drop off items from 10am to 2pm Monday-Wednesday. Or, TEXT Britt @ 216.570.7193 to schedule another drop off location/time.

About LDEI: We are a philanthropic organization of women leaders in the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. Our membership is highly diversified (with 2,400 members in 44 chapters across the USA, Canada, UK, Mexico, France, and Italy) and reflects the fields of contemporary gastronomy and hospitality. We support our communities through grants, scholarships, and mentorship. Prospective members must have at least five years of relevant industry experience to apply to become a Dame.
