Phyllo Dough Cooking Class
and Tour of CentroVilla25
Wednesday, July 23, 2025 | 4:00–8:00pm
We’ll begin this event with a guided tour of CentroVilla25: Cleveland’s Premier Latino Market and Food Hall culminating in a visit to their beautiful new commercial kitchen where Athens Foods Chef Nancy Lewis and our own Dame Jean Myers will lead a hands-on phyllo dough cooking class.
The tour will take about 1 hour plus a little time for shopping in the market.
The phyllo class will start promptly at 5:30 pm.
Delight in the light flaky texture of phyllo dough. Learn to work with or expand your knowledge of phyllo and kataifi (shredded phyllo dough). Come hungry as we’ll allow time to sample your creations and answer questions.
Some of the highlights include:
- Learn to fold traditional Greek spanakopita triangles and spirals
- Expand your pizza and pie crust repertoire with phyllo
- Experience the simplicity of phyllo shells, sweet & savory – One simple Shell, Endless Possibilities!
This event is open to Dames, friends, spouses and children over 14.
Location: CentroVilla25 | 3140 West 25th Street, Cleveland, Ohio
Bring: We may bring our own wine.
Cost: $5 LDEI Members; $10 Guests
